REALTORS'® PASSION BRINGS TO LIFE NEW AWARD FOR VOLUNTEERISM

December 14, 2011, Winnipeg, MB - An exciting new award was launched in Winnipeg today created by REALTORS®, who are passionate about improving the quality of life of children in Manitoba.

The MREA Quality of Life Award recognizes volunteers who are deeply committed to improving the lives of Manitoba children - our futures. This award is granted to an individual or group of individuals and includes a $2500 cash award to be given to the recipient's charity of choice. The award will be presented at the 29th Annual Volunteer Awards Dinner on April 17, 2012.

Volunteer Manitoba unveiled the new award today at the official announcement for the awards categories for the 29th Annual Volunteer Awards Dinner.

"We are really excited about our partnership with Volunteer Manitoba. Our Quality of Life Award recognizes Manitobans whose work with our youth reflects our members' commitment to quality of life in Manitoba," said Lorne Weiss, MREA President.

Every year, REALTORS® in Manitoba work together and along with other volunteers donate time, money and passion to improving the quality of life of children and their communities in Manitoba.

The call for nominations is now open. If you or someone you know is a dedicated volunteer and is helping to improve the quality of life of Manitoba's children, please nominate them by filling out the nomination form HERE. The deadline for nominations is February 29, 2012.
