How are REALTORS® working to improve our quality of life?
We’re experts on public priorities for growth. We listen to our buyers and sellers to find out how they think their community should grow, or where they want to live and why. Few know better than REALTORS® what people value most in a home and community. It is an important part of our job. Our clients talk to us about those values every day.

We also carefully consider which public policies work. Our positions on public policy are about supporting economic vitality, accommodating population growth, and building stronger communities. We want to share what we know and what we’ve learned with decision makers.

Over the next several years, communities will review and update their plans for accommodating inevitable growth. REALTORS® are participating in the planning process so the updates improve our quality of life while ensuring the economic vitality that comes with quality growth.

Economic growth allows us to invest in schools. Prosperous communities have low crime rates and good health care. In communities where jobs are plentiful, so are parks, open space, and housing choices for all income levels. We can grow intelligently.
